Joan Speight - Landscape Artist
Glimpses of Cornwall in oils or acrylics painted on both canvas and board .

The seas and trees of Cornwall are my main subject matter and the changing colours of the sea  and wonderfull light on the landscape around the  Cornish coast means  I enjoy the use of a vivid colour palette.

A postcard sized painting I submitted to an Art Exhibition entitled   'Postcards to Japan'  is on show at the Iwate Museum of Art , Moriakea City, Japan until the 26th February, 2012.   The exhibition will then tour the towns and cities along the devastated coast  of north east Japan.   All profits from the sales of the catalogue will be donated to the recovery projects in that area.
Postcards from over 370 artists from all over the world can be seen by going to www.ukishima.net
